You can attend our experiences with friends (except Chef for the Day which is for one person), they are also perfect as gifts for special occasions.

Vegan & Vegetarian Desserts

An introduction to Vegetarian and Vegan dessert making. This is a practical session is intended to be fun, informative and equip you to be able to make three restaurant standard desserts to impress your friends and family.

Tea Connoisseurs

Exploring the world of tea, including the Liverpool tea trade, how it is grown and the quality points of fresh tea. You will experience the correct way to prepare and serve tea as you would receive it in Tianjin, and of course tea tasting. This experience will include snacks that are traditionally served with teas.

Cocktail and Food Pairing

Enjoy four cocktails whilst sat at the Lu Ban bar, created by our bar team. Each cocktail will be  served with four different Chinese dumplings. Take the opportunity to request your own cocktail creation as part of the four.

Lu Ban Chocolate Lab

Watch a Lu Ban chef create chocolates for you to taste and savour. Each item will be created in front of you, you will be able to question the chef about chocolate and chocolate techniques.

Chef for a Day

A truly wonderful experience where you join the Lu Ban brigade for 8 hours of prep and lunch service.

As part of your day, you will join the team as the deliveries arrive and the food is prepped and cooked in readiness for service. You will be part of the busy kitchen team and see how the kitchen runs.

Chef for a Day with Dinner

Join the Lu Ban brigade for 8 hours of prep and lunch service. You will join the team as the deliveries arrive and the food is prepped and cooked in readiness for service. You will be part of the busy kitchen team and see how the kitchen runs.

Your 6 guests will arrive at 7:00pm and be met by you for Champagne in the bar, you will guide your guests to their own private table within the Lu Ban kitchen. You will then work with one of the chefs to serve the 10-course menu with wines you have helped to prepare for your guests.

Dumpling and Wine Pairing

Enjoy a tasting of 5 selected wines whilst sat at the Lu Ban bar, including wines from China, and the new and old world.

Wines will be served with 4 different Chinese dumplings. You will meet the chef that created the dumplings who will explain to you the history of each dish.

Chocolate and Champagne

Enjoy a tasting of 3 selected Champagnes, sat at the Lu Ban bar. Each Champagne will be served with two handmade chocolates. One of the bar staff will inform you about the Champagnes, the origin and character of each and why they are served at Lu Ban.

You may wish to take  this experience after a dinner reservation.

Noodles, Dumplings and Flatbreads

Working with one of the Lu Ban chefs, you will be introduced into the art of making Chinese Noodles, Dumplings and flatbreads.

The dishes you create will be served as your lunch along with sides and a hot dish from the Lu Ban menu.
