Liverpool’s Lu Ban Restaurant strikes gold in VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2022
It feels incredible
“We were delighted to have even made it through to the finals and would have been equally as proud walking away with the bronze or silver but to win the gold is obviously really special.
“I’m so incredibly proud of the team and what they’ve achieved in such a small amount of time. It really is testament to what amazing teamwork, hard work and a positive mind set can achieve.”
Lu Ban executive chef director Dave Critchley
We still can’t quite believe we won Gold at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
It’s been a rollercoaster journey since we opened (and closed, and opened again) our doors back in November 2019.
We try our hardest to deliver an excellent dining experience and we set our standards high, we know that.
We believe the quality is worth it. Our director David said that graft, tears, sweat, passion, fierce loyalty and belief is what makes winners, and we live all of those things daily.
The truth is;
Without you, our guests, we are nothing.
Without our team of amazing chefs, kitchen support, servers, hosts, bartenders, managers and assistant managers, we are nothing.
We are grateful for everything. Thank you for being part of our continuing journey.
